Hi,
This is my first post, Please Help! I have a B6200 Kubota Diesel 4x4 loader tractor. I think I will need to replace the engine soon, and see one on ebay that I need to know if it will work as a replacement (ebay id 3874202265) ends soon, please hurry!. The engine I am looking at is a model 850-5B 17 horse. I know my engine is a 15, but maybe the 17 will work in it's place? The engine I am looking at came out out a B1550 kubota. If you have a good engine I would also be interested. Thanks! Eric 603-364-3858

I can't help you with your question about engine compatibility, but if I may make a recommendation... an alternate idea would be to rebuild the original engine. You said you think you will need to replace the engine "soon". To me, that says you don't have a catastrophic failure, it might just be worn out. Diesel engines are very simple. It's common to rebuild a long-service diesel several times during its life. A tractor with a rebuilt original engine will be worth more in resale than a tractor with a frankenstein drivetrain. ....
